Job Description: We are currently seeking a Warehouse Manager to oversee operations at our client's warehouse unit in Swanley, London. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for coordinating the cleaning and inspection of contents, ensuring compliance with company standards and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and schedule daily cleaning activities within the warehouse unit.
  • Inspect incoming contents for prohibited items and damage.
  • Conduct final inspections prior to returning contents to customers.
  • Report any discrepancies to the Regional Manager promptly.
  • Manage crate inventory to maintain optimal usage levels.
  • Supervise cleaning staff and coordinate their tasks effectively.
  • Arrange and oversee collection and return of contents with local porters, in collaboration with claims teams and hires.
  • Supervise visits by external suppliers as needed.
  • Meet with Customers, Loss Adjusters, and Loss Assessors visiting the unit, preparing necessary paperwork.
  • Assist in managing customer complaints under the guidance of the Regional Manager.
  • Coordinate the booking of agency staff for cleaning and removals as required.
  • Ensure adherence to Quality, Management, and Health and Safety standards for audits.
  • Manage and maintain IT equipment, ensuring correct usage by staff.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in warehouse management preferred.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with Quality, Management, and Health and Safety standards.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management IT systems.
