Position: MIG Welder and Fabricator
Location: Swanscombe


Shift Pattern:

• Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Saturday available: 7:00 AM - 2:00 PM
• Overtime: Available

Pay Rate: £18.00 per hour, paid weekly

Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

• Sub-Assemblies: Manufacture sub-assemblies using MIG welding to support main assembly bays.
• Main Assemblies: Produce main assemblies by MIG welding up to the paint stage.
• Finishing: Sand and grind components or assemblies to remove splatter and ensure optimal fit.
• Assembly: Use power and hand tools to assemble all components.
• Quality Control: Ensure sound weld joints and a good cosmetic finish.
• Process Monitoring: Monitor all welding processes to prevent shrinkage and distortion.
• Additional Duties: Perform any other reasonable duties as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of MIG welding experience.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift steel components and stand for long periods while manual MIG welding.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in interpreting 3rd angle projection engineering drawings.
• Assessment: Must pass a welding assessment as part of the interview process.
• Specialized Experience: Experience with balconies and balustrades is a plus.
• Driver's License: Valid driver's license with no more than 3 points, as the role includes some site visits and installation projects.
