We are open to speaking to experienced Financial controllers/ Finance Managers but equally interested in speaking to Management Accountants looking for their first Financial Controller role. You willl work with a collaborative and supportive FD who is keen to see someone progress in their career. Hybrid working- 2 days in office.Responsibilities

Monthly Reporting

  • Manage the month-end close process for all group companies and prepare the group consolidated accounts.
  • Analysis of actual performance vs the financial plan
  • Monitoring of contract renewals whilst identifying lost revenues, risks and opportunities
  • Prepare monthly management accounts reports for senior management, investors and lenders.

Forecasting and Budgeting

  • Maintain monthly rolling income statement and balance sheet forecast
  • Prepare detailed budget, working with cost centre owners to ensure the components and the drivers of the budget are well understood
  • Cashflow forecasting

Tax and Audit

  • Preparation of year end audit files for all group companies and liaise with auditors during completion of the audits
  • Responsible for VAT, sales tax returns and income tax returns of all group companies

Personnel and Financial Management

  • Mentor and develop finance team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize financial processes and drive efficiency
  • Implement financial policies and procedures that enhance internal controls and improve efficiency of financial processes.
  • Improve, rationalise, enhance (as appropriate) the financial systems of the business.
  • Manage company bank accounts and credit cards
Essential qualifications & skills

The successful candidate will need to have the following skills:

  • Qualified accountant (e.g. CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) with financial accounting and reporting experience.
  • Highly skilled in Excel
  • Proficient in financial management software and ERP systems
