Position: Estimator

Location: Cardiff

Salary: >£65k + package

This is a great opportunity for an Estimator to join our Construction client to ensure the smooth running of projects from beginning to end.

The Estimator will be responsible for:

  • Co-ordinate the tender process in a timely fashion
  • Accurate measurement using both CAD measure & manual measures
  • Production of tenders using Estimating Software System
  • Produce an accurate prime cost for the project.
  • Develop relationships with the design team and clients
  • Develop relationships, quality, and the range of the supply chain
  • Identification of areas of risk and opportunity
  • Highlight conflict and deficiencies within contract documentation
  • Produce the Estimating handover information
  • Support and promote collaborative working both internally & externally
  • Maintain a level of technical expertise
  • Maintain current cost data
  • Obtain feedback from the construction departments on tenders
  • Be pro-active in resolving queries and technical issues
  • Strive for continuous improvement in both technical ability and financial acumen.
  • Safeguard the company against risk through identification and elimination
  • Accuracy and reliability of scheme measures.
