Are you a Process Operator looking for a new contractual / ongoing position?

Acorn by Synerige is currently recruiting on behalf of our client for skilled and motivated Process Operators to join the organisation in various departments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and have substantial experience in process and plant operations. A passion for engineering and a commitment to excellence are essential for this role.

This is an ongoing contractual opportunity which may result in a permanent position with a very well established company in Clydach, Swansea who refine nickel. The successful candidate will have worked in a manufacturing or industrial environment; ideally with powdered metals, and full training will be provided. You must demonstrate a strong understanding of Safe Systems of Work along with the ability to champion safety in the workplace. Furthermore, the individual will be expected to demonstrate their knowledge of CI, aligning to the refineries commitment to continuously improve processes and systems & enhance plant operations and product quality.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Operate and maintain equipment within the plant, ensuring safety and efficiency
  • Collaborate effectively with team members while also being capable of working independently
  • Maintaining a clean working environment
  • Working to established site principles and observing H&S rules
  • Complying with strict company Personal Protective Equipment legislation

Successful applicants will have gained qualifications such as NVQ, apprenticeship or similar of a mechanical or process operations nature to be considered for this position. CGSE level qualifications at grade C or above in Maths, English & Science are required. In addition, experience of working in a manufacturing environment as a Process Operative is essential. Working patterns are 4 on 6 off shifts (days). You will require a flexible approach however as call ins and overtime may be required. This position offers an attractive salary with shift allowance, with an annual bonus and pension scheme.
