Position Overview:

We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our client in Gorseinon on a full time permanent basis. As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored support to the residents within the supported living home. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable adults and contribute to their overall wellbeing and independence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide person-centred support to residents with learning disabilities, mental health conditions, autism, and behaviours that challenge.
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration.
  • Promote independence and empower residents to develop essential life skills.
  • Foster a safe and supportive environment within the home.
  • Effectively manage challenging behaviours with compassion and patience.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and external professionals to ensure the holistic needs of residents are met.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of support provided.

Requirements:

  • A compassionate and empathetic approach to supporting vulnerable adults.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • A valid driving license and access to a vehicle is essential for this role.
  • Willingness to undergo relevant training and development opportunities.
