Position Overview:
We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our client in Gorseinon on a full time permanent basis. As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored support to the residents within the supported living home. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable adults and contribute to their overall wellbeing and independence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide person-centred support to residents with learning disabilities, mental health conditions, autism, and behaviours that challenge.
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration.
- Promote independence and empower residents to develop essential life skills.
- Foster a safe and supportive environment within the home.
- Effectively manage challenging behaviours with compassion and patience.
- Collaborate with colleagues and external professionals to ensure the holistic needs of residents are met.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of support provided.
Requirements:
- A compassionate and empathetic approach to supporting vulnerable adults.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- A valid driving license and access to a vehicle is essential for this role.
- Willingness to undergo relevant training and development opportunities.
