Your New Company:A supported living care organisation located in the Swansea, Neath, and Port Talbot areas, providing a range of care and support services for individuals with learning and/or physical disabilities, some of whom have additional health needs. The organisation is committed to promoting the rights, interests, and dignity of the people they support.Your New Role:As a Support Worker, you will be part of a dedicated team providing essential care and support. Further comprehensive training will be provided. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting personal and physical care needs.
  • Managing and administering medication.
  • Assisting with daily living tasks.
  • Managing tenancy agreements and security.
  • Maintaining accurate records.
  • Attending health appointments and liaising with external professionals.
  • Supporting individuals in activities that promote health and wellbeing, such as arts and crafts, sports, social events, and holidays.

What You Will Need To Succeed:

  • A commitment to training and personal development.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to support individuals in a flexible and safe environment.
  • Domestic skills including cooking, cleaning, and laundry.
  • Commitment to achieving relevant qualifications and standards.
  • Full UK driving licence and business insurance
  • A minimum of 6 months social care experience in the UK within the past 2 yearsDesirable:
  • Ability to communicate in Welsh,
  • a non-judgemental attitude,
  • ability to remain calm in stressful situations,
  • flexibility to work various hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
