Financial ControllerSwindon, (Hybrid)£65,000 to £72,000 per annum

I am exclusively partnering with my client to recruit a Financial Controller for a newly created role, aligned to specific international revenue streams. This position is key to driving the company’s financial growth and ensuring the centralisation of financial and management services, with a strong focus on commercial decision support. The role will report directly to the European CFO and will operate in a hybrid working model based in Swindon.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Control: Manage Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet with full responsibility for control, reconciliation and reporting.
  • Monthly Reporting: Prepare monthly financial reporting to HQ, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Local Accounts & VAT: Oversee the preparation of local accounts, VAT declarations, and relevant statistics (in coordination with external tax advisors in respective countries).
  • Planning & Forecasting: Lead the planning process, including forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning for both short and long-term financial objectives.
  • Annual Accounts: Prepare annual accounts in compliance with local GAAP and Group IFRS standards.
  • Cost Analysis & Variance Management: Review and track departmental costs, analyse variances, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Business Insights: Provide insightful financial analysis to support business decisions, including examining value streams, margins, and financial/non-financial KPIs.
  • Business Partnering: Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor and providing financial insights to guide strategic decisions.
  • Risk Management: Investigate internal risk requests, prepare materials for the (ICC), and actively work to reduce credit risk in trade finance.
  • Project Accounting: Oversee project accounting activities, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in project-related financial reporting.
  • Accounts Payable/Receivable: Indirectly oversee the accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
