Robert Half are pleased to be recruiting a permanent Financial Controller role with a manufacturing business based in Swindon. We are seeking a dynamic, qualified Accountant with previous retail or manufacturing experience; this role would suit someone who is seeking a step up into their first Financial Controller role, or with proven experience.

The role

The Financial Controller will report into the Finance Director and will be responsible for consolidating accounts for a number of entities within the group. This role would suit a Finance Manager seeking a step up into their first Financial Controller role, or someone with proven experience. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Managing a small team.
  • Quarterly and annual reporting for group.
  • Preparing monthly management accounts for one of the entities within the group.
  • Consolidating group accounts.
  • Budgeting and forecasting.
  • Liaising with auditors.
  • VAT returns.
  • Business partnering with senior stakeholders.

Profile

The successful candidate will have the following skills/attributes:

  • Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA with 5+ years PQE.
  • Previous line management experience.
  • Experience within manufacturing or retail.
  • Knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP.

Package

  • £65,000 - £75,000 base salary.
  • Bonus scheme (up to 10%).
  • Hybrid working upon passing probation (up to 2 days from home).
