Job Description: Management Accountant

Location: Swindon, UK

Hours : Monday -Friday Flexible 8.30am  - 4.30pm

Salary: Up to £38,000pa

Hawk 3 Talent Solutions is excited to announce an opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant to join a company in Swindon, following a restructuring of the finance team!

Role Overview

As a Management Accountant, you'll be vital in ensuring the financial wellbeing of the business by delivering precise and timely management accounts and insightful financial analyses. This role involves working closely with various internal teams as well as external partners, including banks, HMRC, and auditors. 

Key Responsibilities

- Create detailed monthly management report packs for the Directors.

- Prepare and reconcile balance sheets.

- Oversee fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.

- Maintain the general ledger to ensure its accuracy.

- Manage intercompany recharges and reconciliations.

- Conduct online banking operations, including payments and reconciliations.

- Prepare and submit monthly VAT returns.

- Assist with quarterly royalty calculations and ensure timely reporting.

- Support compliance with HMRC and other statutory requirements.

- Work with auditors to assist with annual audits and address any queries.

- Collaborate with external stakeholders like banks and regulatory bodies.

Additional Responsibilities

- Assist with budgeting and forecasting to support business planning.

- Help manage cash flow and forecasting.

- Contribute to improvements in financial systems and process automation.

- Perform ad hoc financial analyses and compliance reports  to support management decisions.

Qualifications and Skills :

- ACCA, CIMA, or ACA qualified (or part-qualified with substantial experience).

- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.

- Strong knowledge of accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Sage, or Oracle).

- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, macros).

- Familiarity with UK GAAP/IFRS and other relevant accounting standards.

- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- High attention to detail and great organizational capabilities
