Robert Half are working in an exclusive partnership with a continuously growing business in Swindon to recruit an Assistant Accountant to join their finance team on a full-time permanent basis. This is an exciting and challenging role which will be focusing on preparing the management accounts, supporting with the production of the statutory accounts and financial reporting. This Assistant Accountant role is an excellent opportunity that will be suitable for someone that is studying towards their ACCA, CIMA, ACA or AAT, with proven month end experience and someone that is keen to progress. The salary is between £28,000 - £34,000 plus study support, hybrid working and excellent benefits.
The Role
The main duties of the Assistant Accountant role will consist of the following:
- Assisting with the preparation of the management accounts.
- Accruals and prepayments.
- Balance sheet reconciliations.
- Journal postings.
- Supporting with financial reporting.
- Assisting with the preparation of the statutory accounts.
- Assist with adhoc project related work when necessary.
Requirements
To be considered for the Assistant Accountant role, you must ideally possess the following skills and experience:
- Must have experience in assisting with month end management accounts; exposure to accruals, prepayments, journals.
- ACCA, CIMA, ACA or AAT studier
- Strong attention to detail
- Hard work ethic
- Strong communication skills
- Highly organised
- Confident user of Excel; pivot tables and lookups
