CLASS 1 DRIVER

MONDAY - FRIDAY: START TIMES:

£15.03 PER HOUR

People Solutions are looking for a Class 1 Driver for our client based in Swindon.

Day to Day Duties

• Ensure you complete daily vehicle checks to make sure your vehicle is roadworthy and safe to use
• Ensure you arrive at your job on time, informing the traffic office of any issues
• Follow all company procedures, customer procedures and the Highway Code
• Maintain all health and safety standards
• Drive Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently to complete all deliveries and collections as manifested
• Comply with all EU tachograph and WTD regulations
• Ensure your vehicle is kept clean and tidy
• Follow manual handling procedures to offload goods

Essential Skills

• Hold a valid UK Category CE Driving License and have held this for at least two years
• Hold a valid Driver Qualification Card (DQC)/Driver CPC
• Hold a valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Have experience with the manual handling of goods using trolleys and pallet trucks

Desirable Experience

• LGV Commercial experience for more than one year
• Good Knowledge of the southwest region of England
