Summary

We’re looking for an experienced Brand Licensing Manager to cover a period of maternity leave of up to 12 months, looking after our Home brand extension category specifically. 

Our brand is stronger than ever, we have more members and visitors than ever, and our Brand Licensing programme is winning high-profile, national awards. There are so many opportunities to build exciting, innovative licences with new and existing partners.

This is a fixed term contract due to end when the previous employee returns from maternity leave. At this point, we cannot confirm exactly how long this contract will last, but it is unlikely to be more than 12 months, starting from mid-January 2025.

Salary: £44,000 – £48,000 dependent on experience

What it's like to work here

Your contractual location will be our head office in Swindon and there will be an expectation for you to attend the office. However, there is flexibility on where you are based at other times. You will be required to work at a National Trust location for 40-60% of your working week. This will be discussed in more detail at interview.

Our head office houses approximately 700 staff from across the Trust’s directorates, including the Executive team and the Director General. The building was designed to be highly sustainable and has won a number of nationally-recognised awards; the open-plan offices and friendly social spaces help us to foster a truly collaborative working environment.

What you'll be doing

As a key member of the Brand Licensing team, you’ll play an important role in delivering creative, on-brand licences that promote our brand aspirations and cause to an in-fit audience on the high street.

You’ll work with a variety of internal stakeholders and external suppliers to deliver innovative, exciting licences that resonate with our audiences and broaden our appeal. In this role, you’ll be responsible for a number of licensee relationships in our well-established Home category. 

You’ll provide leadership and Brand Licensing expertise, ensuring that the products developed are delivered to the highest standards of quality, design, sourcing and appeal and the supporting marketing activities are on brand in terms of messaging and extending reach. Variety is the key word here, ensuring that licensees are given the highest level of service on an ongoing basis to maximise their potential.

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

•Quantifiable Brand Licensing experience in the delivery of key accounts is required, with ability to ensure that licensees deliver against contractual and financial obligations to maximise return of income

•In-depth knowledge of the licensing industry and relationships within the home category 

•Account management skills with impeccable attention to detail

•Experience and understanding of contract drafting and financial reporting with clear, credible and persuasive communication skills

•The ability to deliver creative product development to highest standards of quality, design, sourcing standards and appeal
