Project Engineer - Renewable Energy

Alecto Recruitment are working with a market leader in the Renewable Energy sector who are looking to bring a Project Engineer into their team.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage project scope, securing approvals and preventing scope creep.
- Conduct risk assessments covering technical, financial, environmental, and safety aspects.
- Lead design development, including specifications, drawings, and layouts.
- Identify hazards and support design reviews and HAZOP processes.
- Source and select suppliers and contractors.
- Prepare tender review documents and review contractor risk assessments and method statements.
- Develop and manage project schedules and resources.
- Oversee suppliers, contractors, and on-site installation and commissioning, ensuring safety compliance.
- Deliver project close-out documentation and regular progress reports on schedule, cost, risk, and quality.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Control & Instrumentation).
- Extensive experience in process engineering and control.
- Proven track record in project delivery from design to closeout.
- Experience in safe project delivery and budget management.
- Proficient in MS Project or SmartSheet for scheduling.
- Skilled in team and contractor management.
- Experience using AutoCAD for manufacturing drawings.
- Proficient in MS Office and quick to learn new technologies.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and people management skills.
- Familiar with ATEX/DSEAR regulations and experience in hazardous environments.
- Experience in manufacturing or process environments.
