Astute's Renewables team is partnering with a rapidly growing ICP, who provide end to end solutions across sustainable and renewable energy infrastructure, focusing on substations, EV and other renewable assets. Together we are looking for a Commercial Contracts Manage to manage contractual and financial obligations, while developing processes to support business growth and compliance.

The Commercial Contracts Manager role comes with a salary up to 75,000 plus benefits and hybrid working, along with excellent further training opportunities.

Responsibilities and duties

Reporting to the Project Manager you will:

  • Lead contract reviews, negotiations and legal assessments (e.g., payment terms, JCT/NEC)
  • Support the Estimating & Sales team with preliminary work to secure project contracts.
  • Oversee the financial viability of project pricing throughout, flagging any risks to profit when necessary.
  • Ensure commercial viability across projects while supporting Project Managers from tender to completion.
  • Maximise value capture by meeting all contractual obligations from project initial to close.
  • Facilitate a complete and timely project handover from the Estimating team to Design and Construction, meeting with Project Managers to ensure alignment.
  • Lead the development, refinement and rollout of processes, documentation and template to support future projects.
  • Maintain a library of relevant documentation for consistency and accessibility across projects.



Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

  • Hold a technical or commercial qualification at degree level or equivalent.
  • 3 years minimum in a similar role with similar responsibilities.
  • Technical understanding of project delivery and pricing within MV/HV works.



Personal skills

The Commercial Contracts Manager role would suit someone who is:

  • Experienced in project reporting, including progress against targets and budget.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex, multi-millions-pound projects.
  • Skilled in project profit and loss forecasting and end-to-end project delivery.
