Data Officer based Wiltshire. A permanent career opportunity has arisen for an experienced candidate who can demonstrate previous employment experience gained within the Education Sector. This is a full-time post, offered Monday to Friday working during term times only, offering an annual salary of approx. £24,000 plus a range of highly attractive employee benefits.

As an Education Data Officer, you will work with all Heads of Departments, Teachers, Students, Parents and Guardians to actively promote the importance of excellent attendance and punctuality. You will work proactively to research, understand and challenge reasons for absence, analyse data and records, investigate trends, and pull together critical data and information from a wide range of sources. Responsible for the promoting and implementation of the attendance policy to all concerned, working to improve and bring about positive enhancements.

You will liaise with the inhouse Education Welfare Officer to understand the current concerns and reoccurring issues, aiming to communicate updates and data reports to the senior management team. There is a requirement to meet with professional organisations and external bodies including Local Authority, Police and NHS/Medical representatives bringing about an awareness of key objectives, areas of improvement and increased communication methods. For this position you will need to possess excellent interpersonal skills, including face-to-face meeting skills, the ability to attend highly sensitive meetings, consistently working in a confidential and professional manner, be able to take written notes and translate into email and complex reports.

The role of Data Officer requires a strong, resilient and professional approach to solutions, best suited to a candidate who has achieved higher education qualifications, perhaps A Level standard with excellent verbal and written English language skills. There is a need to evidence advanced working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and SharePoint.
