Position: Cover Supervisor
Location: Swindon
Hours: 34.75 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 39 weeks per year
Rate of pay: £22,454.82 Per annum
We are pleased to announce a permanent part-time career opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant or Cover Teacher. This position involves assuming responsibility for the learning, behaviour, and progress of students during the absence of the designated teacher. The role offers a varied experience for individuals seeking to contribute to an educational environment in a meaningful way.
We are looking for:
- GCSEs A-C/4-9 in English and Maths
- Previous experience working within an educational setting
- Demonstration of Organisation and time-management skills
- Excellent communication skills
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Cover subjects, classes, and groups as allocated and agreed with the Cover Coordinator.
- Ensure that cover lessons are conducted in an orderly manner
- Manage the behaviour so that pupils are on task and making good progress through the lesson
- Report back as appropriate, using the college’s referral systems including information on behaviour during the lesson and any lessons arising.
- Accompany Staff on off-site activities.
