We are seeking a high calibre interim to assist our client, a PE backed Professional Services business. This role will work with the Transformation Director on a large Finance Transformation programme. The purpose of this role is to develop efficient and insightful MI reporting that supports the business in making the right strategic and operational decisions. In doing this you will help shape and drive the MI and data agenda across the organisation, based on one set of core data, a rationalised MI & BI tool set and efficient BI spend. This in turn will help drive and deliver the Transformation programme. The key responsibilities will include:* Ownership and delivery of data reporting development projects to improve the quality, efficiency and accuracy of core metric measurement within the business* Delivery of reporting solutions that ensure metrics are correct, timely, and aligned with official definitions (in conjunction with the Governance & Data Integrity function of BI)* Support the development and implementation of a consolidated BI agenda, focused on efficient and governed use of reporting data and BI tools* To have sufficient understanding of the business to evaluate the integrity of reported metrics and to drive improvements in reporting content* Prioritisation of reporting development projects in conjunction with key stakeholders * Effective management of stakeholder relationships across the key divisions of the business* Support the delivery of ad-hoc MI reporting requirements as required* Help to build a strong team culture within the newly formed Business Intelligence function: work closely and collaboratively, and help drive a high standard of engagement within the team and with stakeholders* Drive delivery timescales, and be seen as a strong BI leaderYou will be educated to degree level in a numerate discipline, demonstrable experience developing and delivering high-quality reporting to drive strategic or operational decision making within a large commercial organisation. It is essential to have experience of effectively managing MI and data projects, have excellent Excel and Power BI knowledge and have a commercial mindset. In addition to this having previously driven the development of new scorecard reporting and an ability to challenge at all levels therefore having a genuine input into the key decision making will be of paramount importance to carry this role out successfully.
