Experis are working with a multinational car leasing company who are hiring for a 1st line support/technical support engineer in Swindon
Overview of the contract details
- 170 per day Inside IR35
- 1 month initial contract
- 5 days on site in Swindon
As an overview of the role you will:
- Provide first-line technical support to users via phone, email, and in-person.
- Log and manage support tickets using the company's ticketing system.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
- Escalate complex issues to second-line support or relevant departments as necessary.
- Ensure all support requests are resolved within agreed service level agreements (SLAs).
- Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems, including desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
- Support software applications and ensure they are up to date.
- Perform basic network troubleshooting and support.
- Assist with user account management, including password resets and access permissions.
You will need to have experience with:
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and software applications.
- Understanding of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and other common software applications.
- Basic troubleshooting skills for hardware and software issues.
