Purpose of the Role:

To ensure the well-being of young people in our care and provide a positive and safe living environment. To manage and lead Residential Support Workers in delivering high-quality childcare.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the home, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
  • Manage and mentor Senior Residential Support Workers, providing supervision and training.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Support young people in developing their care plans and achieving positive outcomes.
  • Collaborate with external agencies and stakeholders to provide comprehensive support.
  • Promote anti-discriminatory and equal opportunity practices.

Essential Skills:

  • Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent
  • Knowledge of childcare legislation and regulations
  • Experience working with young people with challenging behaviour
  • Strong communication, organisational, and administrative skills
  • Ability to relate to young people with empathy and compassion
  • Leadership and management skills
