Are you looking to build your career within estimating with a successful and dynamic business? Our client, based in Royal Wootton Bassett near Swindon, is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their growing team.

This is a hybrid role, offering the flexibility to work both remotely and from their office, with a salary of 32,000 - 34,000 per annum, depending on experience. Experience within joinery would be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sat within two departments
  • Pricing Support: Assist senior estimators with pricing enquiries.
  • Supplier Coordination: Liaise with suppliers and sub-contractors to obtain and compare pricing information.
  • Estimates on POS equipment
  • Calling off drawings
  • Project Collaboration: Work closely with sales and project management teams to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Cost Analysis: Review and discuss quotes with vendors to ensure competitive pricing.
  • Technical Insight: Call off measurements from construction drawings and coordinate with the internal design team on tender and prototype clarifications.
  • Sourcing: Identify and collaborate with specialist suppliers and tradespeople.
  • Contract Review: Support with final account reviews and contract assessments (training provided).
  • Site Visits: As required.


Ideal Candidate Profile:

We're looking for someone numerate, IT-savvy, and eager to develop a career in estimating. This role could suit someone with experience in:

  • Estimating: Previous experience in pricing, estimating, supporting these functions is beneficial. and experience within joinery is a bonus
  • Related Fields: Background knowledge in metalwork, joinery, acrylics, glass, or powder coating is advantageous.
  • Skills and Requirements:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general IT applications.
  • Able to read and interpret construction drawings.
  • A driving licence and car is beneficial.
