Responsibilities:

  • Managing a caseload of commercial dispute resolution matters, including contract disputes, professional negligence claims, and shareholder disputes.
  • Conducting legal research and analysis, drafting legal documents, and providing accurate and timely advice to clients.
  • Representing clients in mediation, negotiation, and court proceedings, ensuring their interests are protected throughout the dispute resolution process.
  • Collaborating with other members of the team to develop innovative and strategic approaches to dispute resolution.

Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

  • Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 3 years' PQE in commercial dispute resolution.
  • Strong knowledge of UK commercial law, civil procedure rules, and relevant case precedents.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide practical and commercially focused advice.
  • Proven track record of successfully handling complex commercial dispute resolution cases.
  • Strong advocacy and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and opposing parties.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

  • Experience in alternative dispute resolution methods, such as mediation and arbitration.
  • Specialisation in specific industry sectors, such as construction disputes or intellectual property disputes.
  • Experience in international commercial litigation.
