Legal SecretaryKey Responsibilities:
  • Supporting the Conveyancing Team Assisting with key administrative and clerical tasks to ensure smooth property transactions.
  • Managing Files & Documents Opening, maintaining, and closing case files while preparing legal documents such as contracts, sale agreements, and title deeds.
  • Client & Third-Party Communication Acting as a key point of contact for clients, estate agents, and solicitors, keeping all parties informed.
  • Diary & Appointment Management Scheduling meetings, tracking deadlines, and ensuring transactions stay on schedule.
  • Post-Completion Support Assisting with Land Registry registrations and ensuring all paperwork is filed correctly and fees are paid.
  • General Administration Handling calls, emails, filing, scanning, and other administrative tasks.
  • Billing Assistance Supporting the preparation of invoices and liaising with the finance team.

What We Are Looking For:
  • Experience Previous experience as a legal secretary or in an administrative role, ideally within conveyancing or property law.
  • Strong Organisation & Attention to Detail Ability to manage multiple tasks and ensure documents are accurate.
  • Excellent Communication Skills Confident in liaising with clients, colleagues, and third parties both verbally and in writing.
  • IT Proficiency Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal case management systems.

Desirable Skills & Qualifications:
  • A legal secretarial qualification or previous experience in a conveyancing department.
  • Knowledge of case management systems or experience in billing processes.
