Summary We're looking for an Email Marketing Executive to join the National Trust on a fixed-term basis. In this role, you'll use the Taxi for Email content management system to build emails and templates, delivering tailored messages to audiences at various stages of their journey with us. You'll source and adapt copy and images to ensure messages are on-brand and audience-specific. You'll also measure email performance and collaborate with marketing and business teams to optimise, test, and improve our campaigns.

The National Trust protects and cares for places so people and nature can thrive. Our Communications & Marketing directorate plays a key role in telling remarkable stories and promoting the mission of Europe’s largest conservation charity.

Your contractual location will be our head office in Swindon and there will be an expectation for you to attend the office. However, there is flexibility on where you're based at other times. You'll be required to work at a National Trust location for 40-60% of your working week. This will be discussed in more detail at interview. 

What you'll be doing

You'll use our email design system, Taxi for Email, to create visually appealing templates that aligns with the National Trust’s brand and effectively communicates its message. You'll develop a cohesive email design system, following best practices and ensuring mobile responsiveness.

By crafting audience-specific copy and working with content writers, you'll support the entire email campaign process. Collaborating with the data team, you'll ensure accurate tracking for performance measurement and gain insights into audience engagement. 

You'll also work with stakeholders to understand campaign goals, offering creative input based on feedback and performance data.

  • Experience in data-driven, automated journeys using dynamic content
  • Experience with design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) to create a variety of different email assets
  • Familiarity with email design tools, ideally Taxi for Email using modules and templates
  • A strong eye for design detail and user experience, ensuring that emails are not only visually appealing but also functional across devices
  • Strong copy and creative skills with the ability to translate ideas into visually compelling email designs
  • An ability to keep up to date with the latest trends
