Occupational Therapy- Band 6

Senior MH Practioner / CAMHS Practioner (OT- With Mental Health Experience)

Location: Swindon

Start date- ASAP

End date- 3+ Months

Shift Pattern:

  • Monday to Friday (Ideally part time but could be open to full time)
  • 9:00 - 5:00 (Negotiable)

Skills/Experience:

CAMHS experience ideally, community CAMHS working experience ideally, and or Mental Health experience

  • Qualified RMN/RNLD, OT with mental health experience, Social Worker with mental health experience with relevant current registration to practice with professional body.
  • We are looking for mental health professionals, ideally with community CAMHS experience, who can work in person in Swindon at the clinic base, out in the community such as in schools, home visits in the Swindon area and Hospital setting delivering the following key functions:

- Mental health liaison at the acute general hospital for children and young people under 18 years of age, including follow up review after being discharged from the acute general hospital.- Work in our Eating Disorders clinic- offering assessments and evidence based interventions to children and young people under the age of 18 referred to the team. You will work as part of multi-disciplinary team as well as working autonomously.- Specialist mental health assessments and also delivering evidence based interventions (such as CBT/CBT informed interventions for anxiety, depression/low mood, OCD for children and young people; DBT/DBT informed approaches including coping skills for children and young people with emotional dysregulation) OCD for children and young people referred to Swindon CAMHS.- Ability to assess risk and manage high risk cases
