Dovetail and Slate are recruiting on behalf of a leading education provider based in Swindon.

Role Purpose
  • targeted interventions to address day-to-day or long-term challenges.
  • Act as a senior member of the safeguarding team, overseeing safeguarding referrals, deputizing for the Head of Safeguarding, and supervising Safeguarding Coordinators.
Responsibilities
  • Provide pastoral support to students, addressing issues such as anxiety, behavior, mental health, and safeguarding concerns.
  • Act as a senior member of the Safeguarding Team, handling safeguarding referrals and liaising with external agencies.
  • Maintain accurate records of student support activities and safeguarding actions in systems.
  • Serve as a primary contact for staff with concerns about students, offering advice and guidance on appropriate interventions.
  • Support looked-after children and young carers by ensuring they receive appropriate care and attention.
  • Supervise and support Safeguarding Coordinators, managing workloads, priorities, and ensuring cases are properly closed.
Requirements
  • Experience of working in a Safeguarding/Child Protection role
  • At least 3 years working in a related fields
  • Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with vulnerable people.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Right to work in the UK
