**Head of Procurement (12-month FTC)** (full job spec can be shared)

**Location: Home-based with monthly travel to Southern England offices**

Not fully remote- can be based from home. It is likely that there will be a need to attend face to face meetings on a monthly basis, so being able to travel to our operating region is a must. Our operating region covers Hampshire, Wiltshire, Somerset, Dorset, Devon, Cornwall, and London, with our main office Hubs in Andover, Devizes, Wells, Weymouth, Wareham and Ferndown.

Our client is looking for a dynamic and experienced **Head of Procurement** to lead their procurement function. This is a fantastic opportunity for a leader who thrives on driving change and improving processes.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Lead procurement activities across construction and indirect categories.

- Advise senior leaders on market trends, procurement strategies, and best practices.

- Oversee tendering, contract awards, implementation, and management.

- Develop and implement procurement policies ensuring compliance with UK regulations.

- Lead a high-performing team, providing coaching and development opportunities.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to maximize value and manage procurement risk.

- Ensure the procurement function incorporates ESG, social value, and delivers continuous improvement.

**Requirements:**

- Proven experience in procurement leadership, with expertise in driving change.

- Background in construction or indirect procurement (housing sector experience is a plus).

- Strong communication skills, able to provide strategic advice to senior leaders.

- Knowledge of UK public sector procurement regulations.

- Experience leading teams and managing multiple projects.

- Degree level education or MCIPS qualification desirable(or equivalent)
