We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Purchasing Coordinator to join our client's Supply Chain team on a temporary basis for 3-6 months. Our client is a dynamic organisation within the procurement industry, and they are looking for someone who is proactive and enthusiastic about driving continuous improvement. As a Purchasing Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in the raising and administration of purchase orders, ensuring efficient inventory management and successful implementation of the site's strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Initiating new vendor forms and creating purchase requisitions for approval.
- Releasing purchase requisitions/orders and sending them to vendors.
- Good receipting and resolving GR/IR and invoice queries.
- Maintaining accurate commodity codes master data.
- Ensuring cGMP compliance for department and suppliers.
EH&S:
- Understanding emergency procedures and adhering to safe systems of work.
- Complying with environment, health and safety, and security policies and procedures.
- Prompt reporting and investigation of accidents, near misses, and breaches of rules.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Previous experience in Supply Chain, specifically raising purchase orders and liaising with suppliers.
- Knowledge of SAP is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately.
- A continuous improvement mindset.
- Basic Word and Excel skills.
- Proven organisational skills and ability to work within critical timelines.
- Effective written and verbal communication.
