We are seeking a dedicated Shift Controller Manager to join our team in Swindon. In this role, you will oversee the smooth and safe operation of our warehousing and/or distribution activities, ensuring that all systems and resources are used effectively to meet customer orders and key performance targets within budget.

Pay:

£32k per annum

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and optimize warehousing/distribution operations, ensuring efficient use of resources and systems to meet performance goals.
  • Maintain high standards of health and safety, security, and hygiene in line with company policies.
  • Lead and motivate the team, ensuring staff are trained, motivated, and aware of required performance standards.
  • Build and maintain excellent working relationships with clients and internal customers.
  • Provide statistical data and reports as required for contract/site management.
  • Identify and drive continuous improvement projects to enhance operations and cost efficiency.
  • Manage stock control and implement security measures to protect site assets.
  • Handle disciplinary procedures in line with company policy when necessary.

Experience Required

  • Previous experience of managing warehouse operations
  • LEAN experience
  • Health & Safety Awareness

Qualifications:

  • Numerate skills essential.
  • Must hold a valid driving license.
  • Experience in managing warehouse/distribution teams is preferred.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with a focus on performance improvement and cost control.
