We work closely with a fantastic secondary special school in Swindon and they are looking for a TA to join them ideally immediately! The school look after a range of special needs but are primarily focused around students with SEMH & ASD.

Having placed candidates with this school over the last few years, I can say first hand that retention rate at the school is very high. This is due to many factors which include an incredibly tight knit team, rewarding work and the chance to make a real difference in these students' lives.

The role

They're looking for a TA to support across a range of different subjects where you will provide general classroom support as well as specific 1-1 work. It does help if you were to have a subject specialism as the school should be able to prioritise you for those classes (subject dependant).

The role of TA at the school is varied but they require people who are resilient, proactive and confident in dealing with challenging behaviour. It's important to the school that you have worked with secondary aged students before, ideally within a school setting.
