School Youth Worker - Full Time - Swindon, Wiltshire

As a growing SEN school in Swindon, we are looking to welcome a School Youth Worker this term. The school are dedicated to encouraging a supportive, nurturing environment where students can express themselves freely and receive the support they need. Students at the school are aged from 4 - 16 years old and face related to social, emotional and mental health needs. The School Youth Worker role is a vital, rewarding position within the school's community.

Main Responsibilities of a School Youth Worker:

  • Using positive reinforcement techniques to encourage students
  • Create a safe environment for students to speak freely
  • Collaborate with educational psychologists to tailor learning plans
  • Implement therapeutic techniques
  • Encourage independence and self-investigation
  • 1-1 based support and interventions

The school are excited to welcome a School Youth Worker to improve their students' quality of education. Full training will be provided on site to the successful applicant. Previous experience supporting SEN children is highly desirable! The school are looking for a confident, enthusiastic candidate to help their studentsmake the most of their education.
