Are you a passionate and dedicated Social Worker looking to make a real impact in children's lives? Swindon’s Family Support & Safeguarding Team is seeking an experienced Social Worker to provide high-quality support and intervention to children and families in need.
About the RoleAs a Social Worker in the Family Support & Safeguarding Team, you will work with children at risk, families facing challenges, and those requiring intervention to ensure children’s safety and well-being. You will be at the forefront of child protection, care planning, and early intervention, ensuring positive outcomes for children and young people.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a caseload of children and families, ensuring effective assessments and support plans.
- Undertake child protection investigations and risk assessments to safeguard vulnerable children.
- Develop care and support plans to ensure children remain safe and achieve their full potential.
- Work collaboratively with schools, health professionals, and other agencies to provide integrated support.
- Participate in child protection conferences, court proceedings, and multi-agency meetings.
- Provide direct support to children and families, empowering them to create positive change.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, policies, and best practices in children’s social work.
? A qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.? Experience in family support, safeguarding, and child protection.? Knowledge of legislation and frameworks, including the Children Act 1989, Working Together to Safeguard Children, and Care Planning Regulations.? Strong assessment, risk management, and problem-solving skills.? Ability to build trusting relationships with children, families, and partner agencies.? A commitment to promoting the welfare and safety of children.
