A fantastic school in Swindon are looking for an enthusiastic and patient candidate to join their community as an SEN Teaching Assistant before Christmas. With a new influx of students, the school are looking to expand their support staff and welcome a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support the students. This is an amazing opportunity for anyone wanting to gain experience working in an education environment or wanting to get into the psychology industry. Working as an SEN Teaching Assistant gives you the chance to be mentored by on-site professionals, implement different therapeutic techniques and make a difference.

The School:

  • Special Education
  • Students aged 4-18
  • Free onsite parking for staff
  • Professionals based on-site to provide guidance
  • Purpose-built facilities such as sensory rooms, construction buildings, music and art therapy.

The SEN Teaching Assistant Role:

  • Assisting students with additional needs such as autism, ADHD, OCD, Dyslexia
  • Supporting students on a 1-1 basis
  • Guiding students in lessons with both lesson material and emotions
  • Encouraging independence and self-regulation
  • Implementing different therapeutic techniques
  • Participate in meetings with occupational and clinical therapists and psychologists to improve students' quality of education
