SEN Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant - SN2

Are you patient, kind, and passionate about helping children succeed? My client is looking for a flexible, creative, and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their welcoming school community. In this role, you’ll provide essential support to children who need it most, working to help them achieve their full potential in a nurturing, inclusive environment. This role is looking to start ASAP, working for 25 hours per week on a fixed-term contracct until the end of the academic year with the potential for this to be extended into next year.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting the class teacher with planning and delivery of lessons.
  • Providing 1:1, 1:2, and small group teaching, while tracking progress and keeping records.
  • Liaising with teachers, parents, and external professionals to meet children’s needs.
  • Adapting your approach to respond effectively to children’s individual needs.
  • Building strong, supportive relationships with pupils and fostering their development.

  • Be able to do the job as described.
  • Experience with ASD and Speech & Language needs is highly desirable.
  • Approachable and consistent, with a kind and nurturing demeanor.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
