Working Days/ HoursMonday – Friday / 40 Hours Per Week

Salary - £40,000+ DOE

The ideal candidate should possess substantial experience in automotive management, particularly within main dealerships and premium car manufacturers. A strong understanding of annualised (fully flexible) hours and confidence in managing staff rosters are also essential qualities for this role.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Responsible for the efficiency and utilisation of technicians and support staff to meet daily objectives.
  • Ensuring efficient distribution of job cards through the workshop
  • All related administration is completed to an accurate standard.
  • Ensure accurate & timely processing of all “job card write-ups” and job completion status.
  • Pass all completed jobs to service costing / warranty / administration for invoicing whilst ensuring all work hours expended have been documented.
  • Operate the workshop loading system, allocating jobs to the Technicians who are most suitable
  • Upsell hours when appropriate and enjoy hitting both personal and department targets
  • Managing Technicians and support staff.

Essential Requirements:

  • Be a true service professional who is an excellent communicator and leader who has a desire to build a career with this well-respected service provider.
  • Possess strong skills in managing fully flexible working hours to accommodate fluctuations in workload, effectively scheduling the team to meet demands. Confidently communicate the advantages of flexible working arrangements and clearly explain the concept of banked hours.
  • Experienced Workshop Manager with an outgoing professional manner who copes well under pressure and provides a service of excellence
  • You will need to have had a solid career history gained in a main dealer service department working for premium brands
  • Someone who is used to large and busy workshop environment.
  • Exhibit strong leadership with a proven ability to excel in people management
