Design Manager - Tamworth

Design Manager - a leading privately-owned construction contractor are recruiting a Design Manager to join their growing team. This is a great opportunity for a Design Manager to work with a company with a solid repeat client base and track record of delivering Design & Build projects ranging from £5m - £35m across the Midlands.

The Design Manager will manage and coordinate the design of projects from pre-construction stage through to the handover.

The initial challenge is working as a Design Manager to deliver an exciting new development consisting of new offices, apartments and leisure facilities near Litchfield (£15m).

Responsibilities & Duties:
- Leading design teams to ensure project specifications are achieved
- Review the technical aspects of designs submitted by consultants
- Lead design team meetings to co-ordinate the building process
- Register and approve drawings on the information system

Requirements:
- Experience working as a Design Manager for a main contractor
- Excellent I.T skills and knowledge document control programmes
- Excellent knowledge of current CDM and Building Regulations.
- Excellent written and communication skills
