Asset Administrator - IT Services Provider

Location: Tamworth

Rate:£150 per day (inside IR35)

Duration:2months

Start date:ASAP

Onsite. 5 days on site per week.

About the Role:

Our client an IT service provider based in Staffordshire requires an Asset Administrator to join their team.

As an IT Asset Administrator, duties involve setting up computers, workstations and mobile devices for users and repairing IT hardware such as laptops, organising the purchase and replacement of equipment, supporting and advising colleagues with their use of this equipment.

You be working with multiple teams across the business ensuring that existing and new employees have the correct IT equipment and retrieve equipment where required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the IT assets across the organisation, including managing the availability of equipment, life cycles and warranties, arranging deliveries and collections for sites.
  • Liaise with colleagues across multiple teams via phone, email and face to face.
  • Manage IT equipment availability, placing orders with suppliers and adding procurement requests in the order management system.
  • Monitoring the IT Asset team's mailbox's, replying in a timely manner, in line with SLAs.
  • Provide technical expertise to monitor, progress, and complete ITSM tickets in line with SLAs.
  • Keep accurate records of company equipment and software.
  • Create knowledge articles and participate in the maintenance of the knowledge library.
  • Distribute and collect of IT equipment across the business.
  • Ensure new starter/leaver processes are implemented and followed with accurate audit trails being provided on the systems
  • Device licence management.
  • Record actions in the ITSM's ticket every time you work on a request.

About you:

  • You must be tech savvy and/or have a technical background.
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communications skills, be approachable, friendly and patient.
  • Have the ability to talk and work confidently with colleagues of different seniority levels.
  • Have excellent relationship management and organisation skills.
  • Be self-directed, ability to prioritise and work independently.
  • Good technical knowledge of IT equipment.
  • Excellent time management.

Experience required:

  • A good technical knowledge of IT equipment, applications and software.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel etc.).
  • Experience of large-scale digital project implementation would be preferable.
  • Previous experience of working in a similar role with a digital application is desirable.
  • Familiarity with project management best practices.

Qualifications required:

  • A relevant qualification to degree level or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Able to pass a DBS check.
