We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Fire and Security Project Manager to lead and oversee the successful delivery of fire and security system projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills and technical expertise in the fire safety and security sectors. As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the planning, execution, and closing of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet all quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Coordination:
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets for fire and security projects.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with client needs and company goals.
- Team Leadership & Management:
- Lead and supervise project teams, ensuring high levels of communication, collaboration, and productivity.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members based on their strengths and expertise.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project status, risks, and milestones.
- Risk Management:
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to address potential issues before they arise.
- Ensure that all work complies with relevant safety standards and regulations, particularly fire and security codes.
- Client Relations:
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing excellent customer service and addressing any concerns or queries.
- Ensure client satisfaction through regular communication, feedback collection, and follow-up meetings.
- Budget & Cost Control:
- Monitor project budgets and expenses, ensuring projects are delivered within financial constraints.
- Approve invoices, purchase orders, and procurement requirements for materials and resources.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure the installation, testing, and commissioning of fire and security systems meet industry standards and client specifications.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and quality of work.
- Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure all projects comply with national and local fire and security regulations, codes of practice, and industry standards.
- Maintain thorough documentation for each project, including contracts, risk assessments, change orders, and progress reports.
- Project management experience is required, specifically within the fire and security industry
- Proven experience managing large-scale fire safety and security system installations (e.g., fire alarms, CCTV, access control, intruder alarms)
- Strong knowledge of fire and security regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing project budgets.
- This is a national role, so travelling will be required.
