Role Overview:

Cast UK are supporting a rapidly expanding business with the recruitment process of a Sustainability Executive. As the Sustainability Executive, you will play a pivotal role in implementing and managing sustainability programs and initiatives across the organisation.

Working closely with various departments, you will identify opportunities for improvement, develop strategies to reduce the environmental footprint, and promote sustainable practices throughout the company. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference and contribute to building a more sustainable and responsible business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sustainability strategies, goals, and targets aligned with company objectives and industry best practices.
  • Conduct audits and assessments to evaluate current practices and identify areas for improvement in resource efficiency, waste reduction, energy conservation, and carbon footprint reduction.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to integrate sustainability considerations into decision-making processes and business operations.
  • Monitor and report on key sustainability metrics and performance indicators, tracking progress towards goals and identifying opportunities for optimization.
  • Research and stay informed about emerging trends, technologies, and regulations related to sustainability, providing recommendations for adaptation and innovation.
  • Engage with external partners, suppliers, and community stakeholders to build relationships, share best practices, and advance collective sustainability efforts.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, sustainability, business, or related field (preferred).
  • Previous experience in sustainability, environmental management, or related field is desirable but not essential; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong passion for sustainability and a genuine commitment to making a positive impact.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to collect, analyse, and interpret data to drive decision-making and measure impact.
