Transport General Manager - Supply Chain & Logistics - Staffordshire - Up to £90,000 About The CompanyOur client is a leading third party logistics (3PL) provider in the UK who put their customers at the heart of everything they do. They are seeking a talented seasoned Transport General Manager with a proven track record in managing Transport Operations.You will lead their operation and team across 3 main sites and 4 satellite sites. This role is very much around management style, this is a great opportunity to go in and change the new TMS structure for this account. You will travel across 3 main sites weekly with one WFH. This is a days based role no call out, Monday to Friday. Transport General Manager Transport - The Rewards

Transport General Manager - Requirements

  • Strong Transport General Manager experience within 3PL desired
  • Must be confident to present to large numbers of people so being a SME in this field of transport is essential.
  • Must have strong commercial acumen and PNL experience.
  • Experience of having a positive relationship with Unions is essential
  • Strong people management skills

Transport General Manager - Responsibilities

  • Responsible for being part of the strategic changes across this account
  • Building relationships with 3rd part hauliers
  • Responsible for 4 direct reports and 341 indirect reports
  • Responsible for the fleet if over 500 vehicles
  • Able to implement change positively across the account
  • Maintain excellent employee engagement
