Mechanical Design Engineer

Contek Recruitment are currently working in partnership with a reputable precision engineering company, located inTamworth, West Midlands. Due to continued success and growth, we are now looking for aMechanical Design Engineerto join the team on afull-time, permanentbasis.

PAY:40,000 - 50,000per year(Depending on experience)

WORKING HOURS:Monday to Thursday (07:15am until 16:15 PM) and Friday (07:15 am until 12:15 PM) - Flexible for the right person.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in the design and development of mechanical components using SolidWorks and Siemens NX.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to create detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
• Conduct design reviews and participate in project planning meetings.
• Support the development of work holding solutions and machine tool setups.
• Perform analysis and testing of prototypes to ensure compliance with specifications and performance standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation of designs, changes, and testing results.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing and quality assurance, to ensure successful project execution.

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous hands-on experience using Solidworks and Siemens NX is required.
• A solid understanding of machine tools and workholding fixtures.
