Goods-In Inspector Responsibilities:
- Oversee incoming goods to ensure deliveries are complete and match purchase orders and delivery notes
- Inspect incoming goods for quality and ensure all goods are as described and compliance
- Inform the Goods-In Manager and other departments of discrepancies or faults with incoming goods
- Handle all administration tasks related to incoming deliveries and checking them in on the system
- Coordinate deliveries and ensure they are correctly allocated in the warehouse
- Monitor outgoing goods to ensure they meet the quality expected and customer needs
- Conduct QHSE inspections and audits on incoming and outgoing goods, recording your findings and producing reports
Goods-In Inspector Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in goods-in management or a similar quality-focused role, ideally gained within the manufacturing sector
- A CQI Level 3 qualification and experience of ISO management standards would be beneficial
- Familiar with inventory management systems and processes
- Flexible and adaptable, with strong organisation and multitasking skills, able to priortise workloads
- Strong problem-solver, able to use initiative and address issues
- Attention to detail and able to keep accurate records
