Allen Lane are thrilled to partner with a dynamic local council to recruit an interim Strategic Finance Business Partner. This exciting and high-impact role will be crucial in shaping the future of the Educational High Needs Service, providing the opportunity to make a significant difference in the service’s financial strategy.

By joining this role, you will play a key strategic role, working alongside leadership teams to not only review current budgets but to design a forward-thinking plan that improves financial sustainability, cost-efficiency, and service quality.

Key duties will include scenario modelling, cost-reduction strategies, and production of a comprehensive cost management plan, which will directly influence the service’s ability to operate efficiently and effectively. You will work closely with service heads, providing expert financial guidance and support while fostering strong collaborative relationships to drive real change in the way the service manages its finances.

We are looking for a qualified Accountant with a proven track record in cost-saving initiatives, ideally with experience in Local Government services particularly within childrens services and DSG

The successful candidate will have a track record of delivering effective scenario planning and achieving meaningful cost reductions, while supporting senior leadership in achieving long-term financial goals for local government services.
