Reed are working with a rapidly progressing and expanding special school for students with SEMH and SCLN, currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated SEMH SEND Teacher and Keyworker. This role is perfect for candidates with a passion for inclusive education and a breadth of experience working with young people. As a pastoral and curriculum keyworker, you will deliver a range of subject content and skills to a small group of young people, ensuring their success and well-being.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Act as a pastoral and curriculum keyworker for a group of students within a nurture base model.
  • Manage the delivery of literacy, numeracy, ICT, PSHE, LifeSkills, and Food to your keyworker group.
  • Collaborate with Academy Subject Leads to implement and evaluate progress.
  • Guide any Teaching Assistants accompanying the young people in the classroom.
  • Work with other professionals, parents, and carers involved with a young person.
  • Monitor attendance and achievement to maximise the young person’s chances of success.
  • Engage young people appropriately, considering their SEMH/SCLN needs.
  • Contribute to annual reviews and the development of the school.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A well-qualified teacher, holding QTS (or equivalent) with the ability to teach Key Stage 2 - Key Stage 4.
  • Experience in a specialised SEMH/SCLN setting is desirable.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to embrace change.
  • Motivated to make a positive difference to students’ learning journeys.
  • Passionate about students’ creative achievement, well-being, and personal development.
