Private Client Solicitor/CILEx Lawyer (3-5 PQE) Are you an ambitious and experienced Private Client Solicitor or Legal Executive looking for a new opportunity? A well-established law firm in Plymouth, with a history dating back 200 years, is looking for a talented legal professional to join its growing team. Known for its personal approach and long-standing client relationships, the firm has built a strong reputation both locally and nationally, with many clients returning for trusted legal support even after relocating. This opportunity offering the chance to take on a varied caseload while working in a supportive and collaborative environment. The firm is looking for someone who can manage private client matters independently, while also being a great team player. If you thrive on delivering excellent legal services and exceeding client expectations, this could be the perfect fit. Day-to-day, you’ll be advising clients on Wills, Trusts, Lasting Powers of Attorney, and Estate Administration. You’ll be building strong relationships with clients and third-party referrers, helping to expand the firm’s client base and grow the department. Alongside your fee-earning work, you’ll be involved in networking and business development, contributing to the continued success of the firm. The firm values professional growth, so you’ll be encouraged to develop your skills and expertise through ongoing learning and training. What makes this firm stand out is its client-first approach and commitment to creating a positive, supportive workplace. They believe in building strong relationships – not just with clients, but within the team as well. It’s a place where you’ll feel valued, encouraged, and part of a forward-thinking legal practice that genuinely cares. Ideally you will have at least 3PQE in private client law. Strong organisational skills, the ability to manage deadlines, and hands-on experience with Wills, Trusts, Lasting Powers of Attorney, and Estate Administration are essential. You should also be confident in dealing with clients, developing new business, and participating in networking events. If you have STEP membership, SFE accreditation, experience with case management systems, or a full, clean driving license (as some travel to clients may be required), that would be a bonus – but it’s not a dealbreaker. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a respected and growing firm where you can make a real impact.
