My client is seeking a Finance Accountant to oversee their finance and accounting function. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to take your career to the next level within this supportive and collaborative working environment.

Role:

  • Manage all aspects of the finance and accounting function for our client's group of companies.
  • Oversee the Group's bank accounts, including daily financial reporting, cash flow analysis, and supplier payment processes.
  • Supervise the use of Sage and ancillary records, ensuring accurate accounting entries and adherence to Group policy.
  • Handle sales and purchase ledger management, liaising with external accountants and bookkeepers.
  • Complete and submit all required returns and other statutory bodies, including VAT.
  • Maintain employer records for staff.
  • General office management and administration.

Requirements:

  • Strong educational background to degree or A level standard.
  • Professional accountancy qualification is desirable.
  • Excellent competency in SAGE 50 accounting software, sales and purchase ledger administration, bank reconciliations, and VAT administration.
  • Proficiency in Excel and other IT skills.
  • Previous experience in the building and construction industry is desirable.
