  • The role will be working within a childrenā€™s home setting and offering outreach support to children in the community
  • You will provide day to day care of children and young people within a family based environment that promotes positive attachments and relationships
  • Work alongside the wider framework or professionals and families in order to understand a childā€™s life experience and respond and act in ways that promote a childā€™s opportunities and potential
  • Work directly with children and young people
  • Provide the best quality of personalized nurturing care that meets the needs of very vulnerable young people
  • Contribute to developing and maintaining a stimulating, nurturing home where children feel happy, cared for and safe
  • Provide 1-to-1 outreach support to children, young people and families in their own homes and in the community
Requirements:
  • Diploma level 3 in caring for children and young people is desirable
  • Maths and English GCSE or equivalent
  • Ability to recognise signs of abuse and trauma and deal with safeguarding issues appropriately
  • Experience of keeping and maintaining records
  • Ability to cope with the pressures of a residential care setting
