Are you a passionate Food Technology educator looking for a rewarding part-time opportunity? Our prestigious independent school in Teignmouth is seeking a dedicated and experienced Food Technology Teacher to join our team on Wednesdays to Fridays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and interactive Food Technology lessons in accordance with the curriculum, tailored to meet the needs and abilities of students.
  • Create a safe and supportive learning environment where students feel encouraged to explore and develop their culinary skills.
  • Provide constructive feedback on students' practical work and written assignments to support their progress and development.
  • Manage classroom activities effectively, ensuring a well-organized and stimulating learning environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the development of the Food Technology curriculum and participate in departmental meetings and initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification in Food Technology or related subject.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching Food Technology at secondary level, with a strong understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.
  • Passion for inspiring students to explore and appreciate food culture, nutrition, and culinary techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time and resources efficiently.
