Sonic Summary

We are seeking an experienced Capstan Lathe Setter for a permanent position with our client, who specializes in manufacturing quality products from various alloys.
Candidates must have prior experience operating manual Capstan Lathes and possess skills in machine monitoring and setting.
The role requires working to tight tolerances and ensuring quality standards are met using vernier and micrometer gauges.
Additional responsibilities may include grinding, thread rolling, and packing as part of the team.
The position offers a salary of £30,000 per year and requires a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Capstan Lathe Setter to join our clients busy team on a permanent basis.

Our client manufactures quality products in a variety of stainless, carbon & nickel alloys.

Previous experience operating manual Capstan Lathes is essential.

Skills required:

The ability to monitor the running of machines, ensuring they are loaded/unloaded with minimal down time
Capstan and manual lathe setting & operating
Working to tight tolerances ensuring quality standards are met using vernier & micrometer gauges
Able to read engineering machining drawings

This role may also involve performing other day to day duties as part of the team including grinding, thread rolling and packing.

Working hours:

Monday to Friday 07:30-16:00 (30 minute lunch break)
