Our client in Telford is seeking a skilled CADDesigner to join their team. The CAD Designer will be responsible for creating technical drawings and plans using various software tools to support engineering and construction projects. A background in sheet metal fabrication would be beneficial.
Duties
- Develop detailed CAD drawings for structures, systems, and components based on project requirements
- Collaborate with engineers and architects to understand design concepts and provide technical support
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with project specifications and regulations
- Review and modify designs to enhance functionality and efficiency
- Maintain project documentation and files for future reference
Skills
- Proficient in SolidWorks or AutoCAD (transferrable skills)
- Knowledge of Radan (Advantageous)
- Knowledge of Press Brake& Punch Press (Ideal, not a necessity)
- Basic knowledge of building codes and regulations
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Good communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders
